I was wondering myself if it would be possible to capture and play live video streams.
Streams like those who are created with vlc.

This is  a example python script to capture/record video streams to a file.
you need to add the pcap  python module for this script

I've rebuild existing rpm's from Dag Wiëers website to integrate vlc into CC 4.2 beta.

There a lots of packages to install, probably pointclark will look to integrate this in existing apt or future yum tree.

Perhaps you might wonder why I've changed the image above from the default blue color provided by pointclark? Not to show you the power of the Gimp. I've did indeed used it to change the color.
Nope, I wanna do something about the power consumption of my CC box. Altough, on the otherhand, shutdown should be more efficiënt. A small contribution to prevent global warming.

A small modification in Freevo, to watch TV from a Video On Demand server.
Usefull for a freevo box who does not have a TV card on board.
My TV card is in my server. It gives me the possibilitie to watch TV on any computer, including a wireless portable.
